Maybe you've heard  about the issue of Internet Doomsday which will happen on the 9th of July 2012, This news became a hot topic in several forums and social media. The following posts may be explained about the issue of “Internet Doomsday”.

This case originated from a virus called DNSChanger, which attacked computers, especially with the Windows operating system. This virus contains a malicious application, made to deflect from the computer user's internet access to their machine's data recorder.

Computers around the world connected to the internet, actually have to go through a machine translator DNS. DNS, or Domain Name System, is a system that changes the address on the internet, who actually use the code Internet Protocol (IP), to the address that is easily recognizable. With technology DNS, IP address consisting of numbers, such as 'http://76.74.254.126', can be transformed into 'www.situs.com', for example.

To be able to connect to the internet properly, need a machine capable of translating the address that we asked for, and connect it with the proper IP address. This is where the DNSChanger virus works, by making 'machine hoax'. The virus is changing the DNS addresses on the computer, and direct user connections to a fake machine belongs to them.

Luckily the authorities managed to arrest offenders and confiscate these machines. November 2011, through the FBI's official website released the news about this virus attacks. Police assisted by NASA and Estonia - where the machines are kept - the perpetrators were arrested, the FBI and the engine seized.

But already there are millions of computers worldwide are infected, so that they immediately turn off the machine, infected millions of computers still can not access the internet properly. Therefore, the FBI put off this fake machine work stoppage, pending the users improve their computer.

Dated July 9, 2012, a deadline the end of the proposed FBI for computer users. On that date, the machine is already in the hands of fake FBI will be turned off, and the only computers that are infected with DNSChanger virus which would be affected.
